EM-18 RFID Reader Module
EM-18 overview
This is a great little RFID Reader Module from Innovations, similar to the ID models (the difference being no silicone protection on the back). If you need an inexpensive way to get started with RFID, this is a great little module. Just power the module, and it will read any RFID card within range.
It will output the card's ID in a serial string, which can easily be read by any microcontroller. The spacing on the pins is 2.54 mm, which means the module will directly fit on a breadboard.

Key specifications
RFID frequency
The EM18 RFID Reader Module operates at a frequency of 125 kHz, which is a common frequency used for low-frequency RFID systems.
Reading range
The module typically has a reading range of up to several centimeters, depending on the specific RFID tags used and the environmental conditions.
Communication interface
The EM18 module supports a serial communication interface, often using the RS232 or TTL protocol, allowing for easy integration with microcontrollers or other electronic systems.
Power supply
The module requires a power supply of typically 5V DC and consumes low power, making it suitable for battery-powered or energy-efficient applications.
