KY-038 LM393 Sound Detection Module
KY-038 overview
LM393 Sound Detection Sensor Module for Arduino detects whether the sound has exceeded a threshold value. The sound is detected via microphone and fed into an LM393 op-amp. The sound level setpoint is adjusted via an onboard potentiometer. When the sound level exceeds the setpoint, an LED on the module is illuminated and the output is sent low.

KY-038 applications
- Sound-activated devices: The KY-038 LM393 Sound Detection Module can be used to create sound-activated devices, such as voice-activated switches, clap-controlled lights, or sound-triggered alarms. It detects sound signals and triggers an action or output based on the sound intensity or threshold set by the user.
- Home automation: The module can be integrated into home automation systems to detect specific sounds and initiate corresponding actions. For example, it can be used to activate certain devices or perform specific tasks upon detecting a doorbell ring, a baby's cry, or a specific voice command.
- Security systems: The KY-038 module can be utilized in security systems to detect unusual sounds or intruder activity. It can trigger an alarm or activate surveillance cameras upon detecting specific sound patterns, helping enhance the security and surveillance capabilities of a premises.
