Editorial Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
This policy explains how our component pages are created and maintained, so you can judge how to use them.
1. Our purpose and audience
DataSheet Hub helps engineers, students, makers and technicians find and understand electronic component information quickly. Our pages summarise manufacturer documentation and add practical context; they are a starting point for research, not a replacement for the official datasheet.
2. Sources
- We base technical content on official manufacturer datasheets and documentation wherever possible.
- Where a manufacturer document is not available, we may use other published technical sources, and we indicate on the page when a datasheet comes from a third-party source rather than the manufacturer.
- We do not knowingly publish specifications we cannot trace to a documented source.
3. How pages are prepared and reviewed
Component pages are prepared by our editorial team. Technical content is reviewed by our editor, an electronics engineer, as part of our publishing process, with attention to part numbers, pin assignments, ratings and units. Review reduces errors but cannot eliminate them; our Technical Accuracy Policy explains the limits.
4. What a page includes
Depending on the information available, a page may include an overview, key specifications, a pinout, features, typical applications, absolute maximum ratings, equivalents, the datasheet PDF and a link to its source. We omit sections rather than fill them with guesses.
5. Updates and corrections
- We update pages when we find an error, receive a confirmed report, or become aware of a newer datasheet revision.
- Anyone can report an error. Every report is reviewed, and confirmed errors are corrected.
- We maintain our datasheet links and check for broken downloads, but links to external sites can change without notice.
6. Independence
Our content is not paid for by manufacturers, distributors or advertisers, and we do not accept payment to include, rank or describe a component favourably. Advertising on the site is served by Google and has no influence on our pages. If any page ever includes sponsored content or commercial links from which we benefit, it will be clearly labelled.
7. Comments
We welcome comments that add technical value. Comments are moderated before they appear, and we remove spam, abuse and misleading content. Published comments are not verified by us.
8. Contact
