Published Updated 5 views

Raspberry Pi-3 overview

The Raspberry Pi-3 is a Model B+ Developer Board. Main ratings: Microprocessor Broadcom BCM28370 64bit Quad Core Processor, ARM Cortex-A53 1.4GHz; Processor Operating Voltage 3.3V; Raw Voltage input 5V, 2A power source; Maximum current through each I/O pin 16mA. The absolute maximum ratings table on this page lists the 6 limits from the manufacturer's datasheet that must not be exceeded. This page brings together the Raspberry Pi-3 key specifications and maximum ratings, with the full datasheet PDF to preview below or download.

Raspberry Pi-3 B+ is a single-board computer. But it has a fast and power-efficient 1.4 GHz processor (1.2GHz in model B) and a faster gigabit Ethernet (it’s limited to 300 Mbit/s by the internal USB 2.0 connection) or dual-channel 2.4 / 5 GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi (100 Mbit/s). The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ maintains the same mechanical footprint as both the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B and the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B.

Raspberry Pi-3 B+ contains the BCM2837 processor. The BCM2837 processor is an evolution of the BCM2835 processor. with the difference being that the BCM2837 can address more RAM (up to 1Gbyte) and the ARM CPU complex has been upgraded from a single core ARM11 in BCM2835 to a Quad core Cortex A53 with dedicated 512Kbyte L2 cache in BCM2837.
