DMCA & Content Removal Requests

Last updated: 6 November 2026

Datasheet Hub respects the work of manufacturers, authors and other rights holders. If you believe we have used your material without permission, tell us using the form below and we will deal with it promptly.

What happens after you submit a request

  1. Acknowledgement. We confirm receipt by email.
  2. Review. We check the notice is complete and identify the material.
  3. Action. Where a notice is valid, we promptly remove or disable access to the material, replace it with a link to the official source, or correct the attribution — whichever you asked for and is appropriate.
  4. Follow-up. We tell you what we did. If someone else supplied the material (for example, in a comment), we may let them know it was removed.

What a valid notice includes

The form asks for everything a notice needs under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws, including the Australian Copyright Act 1968: your contact details, a description of the work, the exact location of the material on our site, a good-faith statement, a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act, and your signature. You can also send the same information by email to admin@datasheethub.com with the subject "Copyright notice".

Counter-notices

If material you provided was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, or that you have the right to use it, email us with: your name and contact details, the material removed and where it appeared, a statement in good faith that it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts. We will review the counter-notice and may restore the material if appropriate.

Misuse of this process

Please only submit a notice if you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner. Knowingly false or misleading notices or counter-notices can lead to legal liability (for example, under section 512(f) of the US DMCA).

Repeat infringement

We remove content and, where relevant, restrict commenting for people who repeatedly post infringing material.
