MQ6 overview
The MQ6 gas sensor belongs to the MQ gas sensor family. The gas-sensitive layer of the MQ6 sensor determines the performance of the gas sensor and its capacity it detects harmful gases (Butane, Isobutane, LPG) effectively and provides adequate warnings proactively. The usage of this sensor is a normal occurrence in industries and workplaces. MQ6 gas sensor can be used in gas leakage detecting equipment in consumer and industry applications, this sensor is suitable for detecting LPG, iso-butane, propane, and LNG. Avoid the noise of alcohol, cooking fumes, and cigarette smoke.
The core sensing element in MQ6 sensors is SnO2 which allows for quick detection of the harmful concentration of butane/isobutane gases. The sensing threshold of the MQ6 gas sensor is around 300-10000ppm allowing for precise measurement and detection of harmful gases.
